Chris Sale

Chris Sale leads Warning Track Power to the top of this week’s Power Poll.

With four players currently ranked in the league’s Top 20, Warning Track Power and Manager Mark Peterson have taken over the top spot in this week’s Power Poll.

Starting pitcher Chris Sale, veteran first baseman Hanley Ramirez, outfielder Corey Dickerson and reliever Jeurys Familia lead the way for Warning Track Power. Ramirez is the league’s top-rated first baseman. He’s hitting .333 with a .955 OPS, 15 RBI, 10 runs scored and three net stolen bases. In 22 innings, Sale has 31 strikeouts with a 1.23 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and two quality starts.

Warning Track Power opened the season with an 8-4 series win over the Marin Menehunes but suffered a 7-5 upset last week by the Lower Haighters. Warning Track Power faces A-Rod’s Mirrors and the Midtown Marsupials over the next two weeks.

April 16 Power Rankings

The JetSetters are tied for second in the league with 10 stolen bases but the team doesn’t rely on one prolific base stealer. Instead, players from up and down the lineup contribute. Jose Pirela, Jose Peraza and Eddie Rosario, Carlos Gonzalez and Jose Ramirez have all stolen a pair.

The JetSetters are also tied with Las Estellas Rojas for the league lead in plate appearances with 652. Pirella leads the majors with 77 plate appearances while outfielder George Springer has 74.

Despite the large number of plate appearances, David Kahn’s team has the fifth fewest number of strikeouts.

Hitting Stats Through Week 2

Five of the top six ranked players in the league after two weeks are starting pitchers. Max Scherzer, Gerrit Cole, Justin Verlander, Corey Kluber, and Clayton Kershaw have been dominant.
